I was born in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, in 1964. I graduated from the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Letters, University of Tokyo, in 1989. In 1989, I passed the National Public Service Examination of Japan, Class I, in the field of sociology. In 1992, I passed the National Public Service Examination of Japan, Class I, in the field of psychology. After graduating from university, I worked in the research laboratory of a major Japanese IT company, where I was engaged in prototyping computer software.
