VRChat Anti No-Clip
- 400 JPY
A simple yet robust solution for world creators to stop users who use mods to no-clip in or out of areas they shouldn't. Demo: https://imgur.com/a/E693V7u (You may need to click the image to make the .gif play because imgur is weird sometimes.)
Features
- Create boxes to keep users IN or OUT of a defined area, warping them to a set location when they violate your settings. - Perfect way to bolster security and protection of restricted areas, such as for games or private rooms in clubs. - Built to be secure from common Udon exploits. - Supports having as many instances of this prefab as you want, overlapping or spaced out. As long as you configure it properly, there won't be conflicts. - Optimized. Won't contribute to world lag unless used recklessly. - Toggleable verbose debug logging built-in to help you configure properly and test. - Step-by-step detailed instructions with common questions already answered. - User whitelist for testing in private worlds. Please check the readme before uploading a world publicly, as you should not use this whitelist for public worlds. There are other, better methods of controlling this prefab. - Designed to be integrated into other Udon projects.
Requirements
- Unity 2019.4.31f1 - Basic unity knowledge to configure the restricted areas. - Latest VRChat World SDK. - UdonSharp by MerlinVR: https://github.com/MerlinVR/UdonSharp.
Disclaimers
- This is purely functional; there are no visual or audio indicators that an area is restricted, or why a user is being booted back to the defined area. This is on YOU as the world creator to implement (such as a warning sign, keypad, etc.) - This will NOT guarantee that savvy modders can't get in or out of defined areas, it will however stop all non-modders and 99% of normal mod users. No known publicly available mods can work around this. - This version was made to balance both simplicity and security. If you need a more secure implementation, consider commissioning me via Discord; just know that as of this time, it is impossible to COMPLETELY block competent hackers.
