AnimeShaderV2 (Blender Shader)
- Digital0 JPY

A simple to use shader I made for my own NPR styled anime models as a learning process, and because other "anime" shaders or tutorials never quite did everything I wanted. I was also tired of using the limited color ramp method, and wanted more fine control over things like shadow threshold, and intensity. I also added rimlight support because rimlights are nice. :)

HOWTO: 1. In your own blend project > File > Append > AnimeShaderV2_ExampleScene.blend > NodeTree > AnimeShaderV2 2. Navigate to the shader editor window > Add > Group > AnimeShaderV2 ---------------- DESCRIPTION: A simple to use shader I made for my own NPR styled anime models as a learning process, and because other "anime" shaders or tutorials never quite did everything I wanted. I was also tired of using the limited color ramp method, and wanted more fine control over things like shadow threshold, and intensity. I also added rimlight support because rimlights are nice. :) ---------------- SHADER EXPLANATION: Base Color: Basic Color. Can plug your main texture into this. Shadow Color: Shadow Color. Can also plug your main texture into this, and use the 'Shadow Darkness' to make it darker. I would also recommend using a 'MixRGB' node between your texture and the input to allow for a stylized hue shift to your shadow. Shadow Threshold: How much of your model is shaded. Shadow Darkness: Darkens your shadow as it approaches the 'Shadow Darkness Color' Shadow Darkness Color: Can be used to hue shift the shadow as it darkens for more stylized shadows. Can also plug base texture into. Emission Color: Color of your model's emissives Emission Strength: Strength of model's emissives. Emission Mask: Spot for emissive mask texture. Rimlight Color: Color of the rimlight. Can also plug base texture into this, or make your own rimlight texture. Rimlight Fresnel: Width of the rimlight. Rimight Feathering: How smooth/sharp the rimlight is. Rimight Emission Strength: How much emission the rimlight gives off. ---------------- Shader by Weemo | Twitter: @WeemoVR
