This will put a new tab on the top of the Unity, next to VRC SDK. Click that>Editor. Then you drag Avatar into the avatar section. Then on the right hand side, in the darker box titled FX layer, drop down layer to right-hand/left hand and put the corresponding gestures to each. And you're done!
