Plinky 4X — Product Description​ Plinky is an 8-voice polyphonic touch synthesizer, especially known for its fragile and melancholic sound character.​ I have been using the original Plinky for a long time, but always felt that its panel was too small and not very comfortable for touch performance. This led me to redesign and scale up this compact instrument. The name Plinky 4X comes from its panel size, which is four times larger than the original Plinky — “4X” literally represents this fourfold increase. The surface graphics have also been completely redesigned and rebalanced, resulting in a more harmonious and visually pleasing layout.​ Due to the more complex structure, assembly takes additional time. When using Plinky with a computer via TouchOSC, and simultaneously connecting Plinky 4X to the same computer through an audio interface for recording, a DI box is required between Plinky 4X and the audio interface. This prevents ground loop noise and provides proper high-impedance input.​ 2. During touch calibration, avoid using overly light touches to increase sensitivity. This may result in unstable triggering or unintended note jumps on certain touch keys.
