Your favorite model becomes your companion. Fuwa Pet Maker is a Unity editor tool that turns any prefab or 3D model into a pet that follows your VRChat avatar. Let it ride on your shoulder, float above your head, or trail behind you. Point at a friend and send it over to hover above their head, then call it back. No model? The bundled builder generates a sample ghost so you can try it right away. FEATURES - Drop any prefab/model into the wizard and press Build - that's it - 3 follow modes: Shoulder / Overhead Float / Follow Behind (lags softly behind you) - "Go Fetch": point at someone with your index finger, make a fist to lock on, and the pet flies to their head. "Come Back" brings it home - Size radial, Height radial and Show toggle in the Expression Menu (all menu names in English) - Bilingual wizard (English / Japanese, Auto follows your OS language) - Motion: give the wizard an Idle clip and/or a Move clip (Generic) and the builder remaps them onto the pet. Move plays while the pet chases you, Idle once it settles - Springy PhysBone follow so the pet drifts a little behind your movement (catch-up time adjustable) - Position / rotation offsets per mode, plus a global model offset - Sample ghost auto-generated when no model is given REQUIREMENTS - Unity 2022.3 / VRChat SDK3 Avatars - Modular Avatar and NDMF (required) - Synced parameters: 26 bits (Mode / Show / Go / Size / Height) - No dependency on Poiyomi or other third-party shaders INSTALL 1. Import the unitypackage 2. Open PetMaker > Fuwa Pet Maker from the Unity menu 3. Drop the model you want as a pet (leave empty for the sample ghost) 4. Choose the follow modes and press Build 5. Put the generated PetMaker.prefab directly under your avatar and upload NOTES - "Go!" locks on using the standard avatar Contacts (Head etc.) of the other avatar; some avatar setups are harder to target. - The pet's polygons and materials add to your avatar's performance rank. Light models recommended. - Motion clips must be Generic (Humanoid clips are rejected by the builder). - Please test in-game after building.
