xwearフォーマットを購入する前に概要を読んでください

【#VRoid Studioの着せ替え機能で発生する衣装破損問題について】 VRoid Studioの着せ替え機能で発生していた問題について、ようやく原因を確認できました。これまで私は、書き出した .xwear ファイル自体に問題があると思っていました。たとえば、・Shaderの互換性に問題がある・ボーンの割り当てが間違っている・HumanoidMapの設定がおかしい・FBXのメッシュが壊れている・UnityやBlenderからの書き出し工程で何かを見落としているなど、さまざまな可能性を何度も疑っていました。しかし検証を重ねた結果、同じ .xwear ファイルでも、通常のVRoid Studioに読み込むと衣装のメッシュが崩れたり、異常に引き伸ばされたり、正常に表示されない場合があることが分かりました。友人の @YawnsYaw1026 と何度も検証・相談した結果、原因はまさかの……という内容でしたが、それについてはいったん置いておきます。最終的に、友人がこの不具合に対応するための応急修正プラグイン「DressUPFix」を制作してくれました。今後さらに機能や修正内容を追加する予定ですが、今回は先行公開という形になります。 DressUPFixをインストールした状態では、これまで破損していた衣装も正常に表示され、正しく着せ替えられることを確認しています。 ▼プラグイン https://github.com/Yawlore/DressUPFix この結果から、問題は商品として配布されている .xwear ファイルそのものではなく、現在のVRoid Studioにおける着せ替えデータの読み込み・表示処理に存在する可能性が高いと考えられます。特に、以下のような衣装では公式の読み込み処理が正しく動作せず、データを誤って処理してしまう場合があります。・構造が複雑な衣装・頂点数の多いメッシュ・複数のマテリアルを使用している衣装・XWear内部のデータ構造が複雑な衣装 VRoid公式のヘルプでも、XWear Packagerは着せ替え機能に関連するツールとして案内されています。 ▼公式ドキュメント https://vroid.pixiv.help/hc/en-us/articles/38723276855065-What-software-do-I-need-to-use-the-dress-up-feature しかし、XWear Packagerで正常に書き出せた .xwear ファイルであっても、VRoid Studio側が安定して読み込めない場合があります。そのため、制作者は「自分の商品データが壊れているのではないか」と誤解し、実際には存在しないエラーを探すために、モデル、Shader、ボーン、FBX、Unity、Blenderなどを何度も確認することになります。結果として、非常に多くの時間や作業コスト、計算リソースを無駄にしてしまう可能性があります。今回の検証で分かったことは、以下のとおりです。 .xwear の書き出しでは、XWear Packagerが正常に完了したかどうかだけを確認するのでは不十分です。 HumanoidMap、Skinned Mesh Rendererのボーンリスト、MeshのIndexFormat、マテリアル参照など、内部構造も確認する必要があります。これらの構造に問題がないにもかかわらず、VRoid Studio上で衣装が破損する場合は、VRoid Studioの着せ替え機能そのものに不具合がある可能性があります。 DressUPFixを導入することで、この問題が実際に改善されることを確認しました。 1つのメッシュ、または1つの衣装部品の頂点数が65,535を超える場合、通常のVRoid StudioではIndexFormatやプレビュー用メッシュの処理が正しく行われず、衣装が破損して表示されることがあります。衣装全体の頂点数ではなく、基本的には「1つのメッシュ単位」で確認する必要があります。各メッシュの頂点数が65,535以下であれば、この問題を回避できる可能性があります。65,535頂点を超える場合でも、衣装を複数の部品やメッシュに分割し、それぞれを65,535頂点以下にすることで正常に表示できる場合があります。【DressUPFixのインストール方法】 VRoid Studioを完全に終了します。 DressUPFixのZIPファイルをダウンロードします。ダウンロードしたZIPファイルを開きます。 ZIPファイル内のデータを、VRoid Studioのインストールフォルダへ直接コピーします。コピー先は、VRoidStudio.exe と VRoidStudio_Data が置かれている階層です。解凍後に作られた外側のフォルダを、そのまま丸ごと入れないようにしてください。コピーが完了したら、VRoid Studioを起動します。正しいフォルダ構成は、以下のようになります。 VRoid Studio/BepInEx VRoid Studio/VRoidStudio.exe VRoid Studio/VRoidStudio_Data 初回起動時は、BepInExが互換性ファイルを生成するため、通常より起動に時間がかかる場合があります。処理中はVRoid Studioを強制終了せず、そのまま起動するまで待ってください。また、ログファイル内に以下のメッセージがあれば、DressUPFixは正常に読み込まれています。 BepInEx/LogOutput.log 確認するメッセージ： DressUPFix loaded. 今回、この問題を検証し、DressUPFixを制作してくれた @YawnsYaw1026 に感謝します。 VRoid公式には、今後のアップデートで着せ替えデータの読み込み処理を修正してもらえることを願っています。現状のままでは、正常な商品データであっても、制作者が「自分のモデル、Shader、ボーン設定、または書き出し手順が壊れている」と誤解しやすく、原因究明に多くの時間を費やしてしまいます。
