僕は日本で暮らす白猫の「はくまい」。 見ての通り、ふわふわの毛がチャームポイント！ それだから、飼い主も僕に布をかけたりなんて、着せたりなんてしないんだ でも、今日だけは特別なんだって なんかね、生まれて、3年目、5年目、7年目にこうやってやるんだってさ！ 本当は人間が大事な家族の健康を祈願してするらしいんだけど、僕にもやってくれたんだって！ 僕にも兄弟や子供ができたらやってあげるんだ！

Hi, I’m Hakumai, a white cat living in Japan. As you can see, my fluffy fur is my best feature! That’s why my owner usually doesn’t dress me up in clothes or anything like that. But today is a special day! You see, in Japan, there’s a tradition called Shichi-Go-San (7-5-3), and it’s done when kids turn 3, 5, or 7 years old. It’s usually for humans, to wish for their family’s health and happiness. But guess what? My owner loves me so much that they did it for me, too! I’m turning 3 this year, so it’s my turn to celebrate! Maybe one day, when I have my own siblings or kittens, I’ll do it for them too!
