【Character Introduction】 Captain Bartholomeow Kittens is the youngest son of a merchant family. After his family fell into ruin, he turned to privateering in search of a legendary treasure to restore their former glory. Around his neck hangs a compass bought from the black market, rumored to point toward whatever the owner's heart desires. (Everything mentioned above is self-proclaimed.) He has a parrot companion named William Chirpins. The eyepatch, hook, pistol, and sword he wears are nothing more than rented costume props, meant to make him look fierce—mere disguises to cover up the fact that he is, in reality, the captain of a one-man pirate crew with nothing but a single catboat to his name. Contrary to the grand ambitions he boasts of, he mostly lives off on the charity of merchant ship crews he encounters at sea—kind-hearted sailors who simply can't bear to let an adorable kitten go hungry.
