I'm not sure what a better word for "sag" would be... 【Tool Name】 cableGenerator 【Features】 ・Controllable sag, curve interpolation, cable diameter and roundness settings. After generating the mesh, you can further tweak settings in the Attribute Editor. ・Unique UI！ ・Japanese and English language interface. 【Installation】 ・Place the script and icons folder as is into the Maya Scripts directory. ・After starting Maya, use the following commands in the console (Python mode) to launch the script: ＊＊＊Versions up to and including [2024]: import cableGenerator from importlib import reload reload(cableGenerator) cableGenerator.showUI() ＊＊＊Versions [2025] and above: import cableGenerator2025 from importlib import reload reload(cableGenerator2025) cableGenerator2025.showUI() ・I recommend adding a button to the shelf to easily access the tool. 【How to Use】 ・Open the tool and adjust settings as needed. ・Select two or more vertices in desired order (you can even select vertices from separate meshes) ・Click the Generate button. 【Settings Details】 ・Sag The amount the cable droops. The higher this value, the lower the center of the cable span. ・Accuracy The number of interpolation points along the length of the cable. Raising this will increase poly count. ・Diameter The thickness of the cable. ・Roundness The roundness of the cable. Increasing this will increase number of edge loops going around the cable. 【Version Info】 The script has been tested using the following versions of Maya without issue: [2023][2024][2025] For the most part, any version [2022] and above should work.
