"A wingless angel, forever bound to the cot." This concept depicts a being deprived of freedom who quietly resists, striving to spread their wings at least in the lawless realm of dreams.
The angel symbolizes “freedom” and “purity,” while the “cot” evokes feelings of “helplessness” and “stillness.” This contrast reflects my own current situation.
The subtitle “Dream bound” carries a humble hope — that even when immobile in reality, one can be free in dreams. This work was distributed as a mini-catalog for my mid-career drawing exhibition.
