■ VRChat のための Gaussian Splatting VRCGS は、3D Gaussian Splatting のスキャンデータ（.ply / .spz）を VRChat ワールドのコンテンツに変換する Unity エディタ拡張＋ Udon ランタイムです。毎フレームの深度ソート、厳密な投影、正しいアルファ合成、視点依存の色表現で、PC・Android 上に描画します。ビルボード（カメラ向きクアッド）による簡易表示ではありません。VRChat のシェーダー環境にはコンピュートシェーダーも atomics も書き込み可能バッファもありませんが、VRCGS は通常のラスタライズパイプラインだけで GPU Radix ソートを実装しています。どの視点から見ても正しい順序でスプラットが合成される、デスクトップの 3DGS ビューア品質の描画を VRChat 内で実現します。 ────────── ■ Gaussian Splatting for VRChat VRCGS is a Unity editor extension + Udon runtime that turns 3D Gaussian Splatting scans (.ply / .spz) into VRChat world content: depth-sorted every frame, projected exactly, blended correctly, with view-dependent color — on PC and Android. This is not a billboard viewer. VRChat shaders have no compute, no atomics, no writable buffers — VRCGS implements a full GPU radix sort inside the ordinary rasterization pipeline anyway, so splats blend in the correct order from any viewpoint: the quality you expect from a desktop 3DGS viewer, inside VRChat.

レンダリング / Rendering

■ レンダリング・スプラット LOD 階層の生成と描画：ワールド内で最大 1 億スプラットを描画（制限は VRChat のワールドサイズのみ）。同時に描画する最大スプラット数をユーザーが選択でき、品質を可変で調整できます。・スプラットオブジェクトを動的に何個でも：アクティブな全スプラットをワールド空間へ変換し、1 つの描画としてまとめてソート。ランタイムで移動・回転・スケール・表示切替ができます。・インスタンシング対応：メモリを追加せずに、同じオブジェクトを好きなだけ複製して描画できます。・スプラットはシーンのジオメトリと正しく交差します。・毎フレームの本格的な深度ソート：ミップマップ prefix-sum ベースの GPU Radix ソートを標準のラスタライズのみで実行。メインのプレイヤー視点と写真カメラ向けにソートされます。・数学的に正確なスプラット投影：各ガウシアンの二次曲面をクリップ空間へ投影し、スクリーン上の楕円を解析的に厳密に求めます（一般的なアフィン近似・ヤコビアン近似を使いません）。VR の広い視野角でカメラを近づけてもスプラットの形が崩れず、フットプリントが引き締まる分オーバードローも減ります。・球面調和（最大 SH3）による視点依存カラー。SH テクスチャ圧縮（RGB565 / BC1 / BC7）、カラーの BC7 圧縮に対応。・VRC Light Volumes 連携：ワールドのベイク照明をスプラットに反映できます（明るい発光部分は保持）。強度調整つき。・Standalone スプラット向けに、正しい色描画のための厳密な sRGB 合成パス（PC）。 ────────── ■ Rendering ・Splat LOD hierarchy generation and rendering: render up to 100M splats in a world (only limited by VRChat world size) with a variable user selected level of quality via selected max splats rendered at once. ・Any dynamic number of splat objects in one world: all active splats are transformed into world space and sorted together as a single combined render. Move, rotate, scale, and toggle them at runtime. ・Instancing support: render as many copies of an object as you want without needing more memory. ・Splats correctly intersect with scene geometry. ・True per-frame depth sorting: a GPU radix sort built on mipmap prefix sums, running entirely on standard rasterization. Sorted for the main player view and photo camera. ・Mathematically exact splat projection: each Gaussian's quadric is projected into clip space and its screen-space ellipse solved analytically — no affine Jacobian approximation. Splats keep their exact shape even with the camera right next to them at VR fields of view, and the tighter footprint reduces overdraw. ・View-dependent color with spherical harmonics up to SH3, with optional SH texture compression (RGB565 / BC1 / BC7) and BC7 color compression. ・VRC Light Volumes integration: splats can pick up your world's baked lighting (with bright emissive parts preserved), tunable with an intensity control. ・Exact sRGB compositing path for standalone splats (PC) for correct color rendering.

インポーター / Importer

■ インポーター・.ply と .spz（Niantic 形式）に対応 — Postshot や Scaniverse など標準的な 3DGS ツールのスキャンを読み込めます。・インタラクティブなインポートプレビュー：クロップ範囲のボックス指定、点を選ぶだけの水平合わせ・壁面合わせ、目標サイズへの正規化。・インポートモード：　・LOD — ソート付きランタイムで描画される、LOD 階層を持つ統合スプラット（推奨）。　・Standalone — 方向別の事前計算ソートを焼き込んだ単体表示メッシュ。レンダラー不要で、アバターや VRChat 以外でも使用可能（テクスチャメモリを多く使い、アーティファクトが出る場合があります）。・再インポートツール：保存されたインポート設定から、そのまま再インポート／設定を編集して再インポートできます。 ────────── ■ Importer ・Imports .ply and .spz (Niantic format) — scans from Postshot, Scaniverse, and other standard 3DGS tools. ・Interactive import preview: crop box, horizon alignment and wall alignment by picking points, size normalization to a target extent. ・Import modes: 　・LOD — a combined splat object with a level-of-detail hierarchy, rendered through the sorted runtime path (recommended). 　・Standalone — a self-rendering mesh with precomputed direction-based sorting. Works without the renderer system — usable on avatars or outside VRChat entirely (uses more texture memory and can show artifacts). ・Re-import tools: re-import a splat exactly, or reopen it in the wizard with its stored import settings.

■ ワールド内 UI（自動生成）スプラットのプレハブをシーンに置くだけで、シーンレンダラーとワールド空間のコントロール UI が自動生成されます。・ギャラリーモード：スプラットをリスト登録し、1 つずつ切り替えて表示。選択はインスタンス内で同期され、マスターロックも可能。スプラットごとに名前・説明を表示。・画質プリセット（Very Low / Low / Medium / High）、SH バンド、Light Volumes 切替＋強度、ガウシアンスケール、アルファカットオフ／カリング、アンチエイリアス、詳細設定パネル。・UI は日本語／英語のバイリンガル対応。・同期されるのはギャラリー選択のみで、その他の設定は各ユーザーのローカルです。 ────────── ■ In-world UI (auto-generated) Drop a splat prefab into your scene and the scene renderer + world-space control UI are created for you: ・Gallery mode: list your splats, show one at a time, selection synced across the instance, optional master lock.
