この曲は、私自身が高2の秋から初冬にかけて、高校の吹奏楽部の私も含めた10人の打楽器部員の皆さんに向けて書いたものです。 この曲を次年度の新入生歓迎会において初演する予定でしたが、当時は部員各々に様々な予定があって結局間に合わないということで、カット案などが出されるものの、残念なことに初演はされることなく刷った楽譜は全て私のもとへ帰ってきました。 今回その無念を晴らすため、という言い方が正しいかは分かりませんが、この曲を自分の中に閉じ込めておくのはもったいないと思い、数年の時を経て、私自身の当時の部員たちに向けた熱い想いが詰まったこの曲の楽譜を公開したいと思います。 ぜひ、演奏して幻の初演を創り上げてみてください。 I wrote this piece during the fall and early winter of my sophomore year of high school for the ten percussionists in our high school wind ensemble, including myself. I composed it with each member in mind, aiming for a rewarding arrangement that would make use of as many of the school’s percussion instruments as possible and serve as effective practice for competitions. We had planned to premiere this piece at the welcome party for the incoming freshmen the following year, but at the time, each member had various other commitments, and we ultimately couldn’t make it in time. Although proposals to cut sections were made, unfortunately, the premiere never took place, and all the printed sheet music was returned to me. I’m not sure if it’s accurate to say I’m doing this to make up for that regret, but I felt it would be a waste to keep this piece locked away inside me. So, after several years, I’d like to release the sheet music for this piece, which is filled with my passionate feelings for the club members from back then. Please give it a try and bring this “phantom premiere” to life.
