Forced-haircut manga — no one forces her into the chair. That's the point. Full color · 31 pages · All dialogue and sound effects in English Shizuku Hayasaka, twenty-seven, an office worker, gets dumped by the boyfriend she'd been with for years. Walking home afterward, she notices a worn, old-fashioned barbershop tucked down a side street she's never taken before. Nobody told her to go in. She just couldn't stand being herself for one more block. "I want to change my mood. Please cut it all off." That's all she can say -- she can't put into words what she actually wants. The quiet old barber, Kuramoto, takes her vague request and runs with it, on his own judgment. She's washed lying back at the sink, her hair cut to shoulder length with scissors, her sides and nape buzzed down with clippers, then wound tight into rows of perm rods and sealed under a roaring dome dryer. In the mirror, she watches herself turn into someone she doesn't recognize. Nobody meant her any harm. Every step of it was something she asked for -- and yet what she's left with hits her harder than the breakup itself ever did. - Full color, 31 pages / 100 panels - All characters are adults (18+); Shizuku is 27 - Non-sexual: no nudity — the story is about the haircut itself This is the ENGLISH edition.
