視界からも記憶からも消えてしまうリモコンに惹かれて集めた写真たちです。リモコンとその周辺の写真を組み合わせて作ったフォトzineになります。 182mm×257mm(B5横型) 全32ページ フルカラー 2025年5月発行 This is a photobook about remote controls, photographed in everyday living spaces. The remotes come from different places, some were bought secondhand, and others were already in the rooms where the photos were taken. While working on this project, I kept thinking about a simple question.「Do remote controls naturally fade from our view?」 They are made to control other devices and don’t really work on their own. We often use them without looking, and they are designed that way. The button layouts are also quite similar, which makes it hard to notice differences between them. Because of this, they don’t stay clearly in our memory. The small moment of asking, “Where is the remote?” might be related to this. I was also interested in the fact that I couldn’t clearly remember the remotes I had used before. I could remember where the main buttons are, but not their colors or shapes. It didn’t feel like just a problem of memory, but something about how these objects exist. These thoughts slowly came together into the idea of a “transparent” remote. Photography can bring attention to things we usually overlook and remind us of small memories. This series follows that process, looking at what appears when we look at remote controls through photographs.
