What is Roe V. Wade?

Roe V. Wade was a 1973 United States Supreme Court decision that stated the right to abortion could not be infringed upon by the States because it would be considered a violation of privacy. On Friday June 24, 2022, the Supreme Court overturned Roe, handing the decision to protect or deny abortion access to the States. According to once source, it is possible that up to 26 states- more than half- will ban or restrict abortion access, directly affecting more than 36 million women, trans-men, and more.
