Character graphics and UI elements such as message windows are not included. ◆ Development Notes (Why I made this) In recent years, more 2D JRPGs have been using backgrounds and character portraits to create more dramatic and immersive scenes. These kinds of backgrounds have also become an important part of conversation scenes in simulation games and other story-driven titles. At Pixel Material Studio, I wanted to contribute more directly to game creation, so I started this new series. In the future, I plan to expand it with many more types of backgrounds, including cutscenes that work well with character materials and horror-oriented scenes such as jumpscare-style backgrounds.
