Title: “Inks That Became Alive 2” Size: F30 (Approx. 910 × 727 × 27 mm) Material: Cotton-blended canvas / Paulownia wood frame Canvas Type: Tetron & Cotton blend Mediums: Paint, Pen, Alcohol Markers This artwork is now available for sale. It is an award-winning piece from the 20th National Open Exhibition ZEN Exhibition in Japan. The theme of this work is “Life.” Various forms of living creatures are illustrated throughout the canvas, while the black-and-white areas symbolize death. By using paint and ink, I created this piece while imagining: “If ink itself had life, what form would it take?” The techniques used in this artwork are pen drawing and dripping. The canvas is densely filled with ink details from corner to corner. Although paint was used, there is no noticeable odor, and the condition remains the same as when it was exhibited. There is slight fading in some of the pen-drawn areas, but overall it remains a beautiful piece. Thank you for your interest and support.
