English description below.

Avatar not included. The avatar in the images is ALIDADE, our own avatar in development (not yet for sale). GLORIOLE.SYS HIBERNAL: Winter Sci-Fi Halo Set. The winter edition of our GLORIOLE.SYS halos. Not another flat snowflake: three winter instruments that float over your head. Frost growing on a precision ring, a guiding star riding a dial, and an auroral arc of light. On PC, snow falls from them. Winter survey halos: they measure frost, the north star and the aurora. New here? The 6-design GLORIOLE.SYS pack (https://viperrassets.booth.pm/items/9063346) and the free GLORIOLE.SYS LITE (https://viperrassets.booth.pm/items/9064997) are the same family. HIBERNAL installs in its own folder, so you can wear any of them together. Also from us: MOONLET, a companion drone with an anime face (https://viperrassets.booth.pm/items/9071353). The three designs - HOARFROST: feathery frost crystals growing on an instrument ring in six clusters, with glowing cores. The crystals stand up from the ring, so it reads from the side too. - TRAMONTANE: a thin dial with star-chart ticks and an eight-point guiding star standing on it. When it spins, the star circles your head. (Tramontane is the old navigators' name for the North Star, and for the cold north wind.) - ARC: an auroral arc: a pleated curtain of light hanging from a ring, with light drifting along it. Snow (PC only) Snow drifts down from the ring and falls in the world, so it trails behind you as you walk. Toggle it with Snow in the menu. One particle system per design, at most 40 particles. Snow particles: PC only (VRChat ranks any particle system on Quest as Poor). Palettes FROST (pale ice blue, the default), HOLLY (warm red on white ceramic and champagne), SOLAR (starlight gold on white ceramic), and Custom: a neutral base and a tint mask for any colour in lilToon (example: ION cyan, as in GLORIOLE.SYS). Modular Avatar ready Import the .unitypackage and drag a prefab onto your avatar's root. MA Bone Proxy attaches it to the Head bone and keeps it level, even on avatars with a rotated Head bone. 12 PC prefabs (3 designs × 4 palettes) with lilToon materials, each adding Halo, Spin and Snow toggles to your Expression Menu (saved, on by default, 3 synced bits per design). No Modular Avatar? Plain FBX + PNG textures are included: parent a halo to the Head bone, set its position to 0, 0, 0 and assign a material (see the README). The snow is in the prefabs only. If the model glows all over or looks flat in Unity, run Assets › lilToon › [Shader] Refresh shaders once. (Seen on Linux / OpenGL editors; Windows and Mac are not affected.) Quest 9 Quest prefabs (3 designs × 3 palettes, Standard Lite, no snow). They declare the same parameters as the PC ones, so the PC and Quest versions of your avatar stay in sync. On Quest, wear one design at a time: each adds one mesh and one material. On a minimal test avatar (one mesh), one halo took Quest from Excellent to Medium, and all three together rated Very Poor (mesh count). Light Per halo: 1 mesh, 1 material, 1,632–2,400 triangles, no bones, opaque. On PC, plus one snow particle system (up to 40 particles); on our test avatar, one design and all three together both rated Good. On Quest each halo adds one mesh and one material, which can lower the avatar's rank: on a minimal test avatar (one mesh), one halo took the rank from Excellent to Medium, and all three together rated Very Poor. The rank always depends on the whole avatar. Requires (free, not included): lilToon and Modular Avatar. The images are Blender renders. In VRChat with lilToon the glow looks a little paler and whiter, and the shading is flatter. See image 7 for how it looks in Unity. 100 % original: designed and built from scratch by Viperr Assets with our own scripts. No snowflake, wreath or franchise designs were traced or matched. Digital download. If anything doesn't work as described, message us and we will fix it or help you set it up. Post your photos with #ViperrAssets and #HIBERNAL: we repost them!
- On Quest, wear one design at a time (all three together rated Very Poor on our test avatar). - Snow particles are PC only. - On avatars with animal ears or tall hair the halo can touch the hair: raise Position Y on the Adjust object inside the prefab. - Manual install without Modular Avatar adds one Animator for the spin (it shows in the performance stats). - The images are Blender renders; in VRChat (lilToon) the glow is a little paler and the shading flatter.
