In the story of the illustration, the character has lost the game and died. I no longer create works under my former name. This piece represents me, now on the viewer’s side, confronting and “ending” my past self—the one created under that former name. Although it may resemble a memorial portrait and feel negative at first glance, it was drawn with a positive sense of resolve.
