Name: Hana

Likes: Gokō, vermilion, gazing at hanafuda designs, and you—the one who found me. A girl in a kimono is trapped inside a single hanafuda card. The card absorbed Hana’s blood and was born as the forty-ninth card—one that should never have existed. Within the card, Hana is forced to play the role of an opponent in a deadly game. Since the day she was trapped, only her left eye has turned yellow. She keeps her bangs long, as if to hide that eye. She speaks little and is not good at showing her emotions. But that does not mean she has forgotten her longing for the outside world. The cherry blossoms in her hair are proof that she still remembers the “outside.” Hana is a girl drawn on a picture card. But she is not merely a picture. When you gaze at Hana— Hana gazes back at you.
