# 《新宿グロウ―Shinjuku Glow―》 ## 作品データ 195 × 195ミリ 水性多色木版／手摺り 絵師：つちもちしんじ 摺り・製版：柏木隆志 ## 絵師による作品コメント 令和新版画で制作してきた、新版画らしい表現から少し離れたものも試してみたいと考えた時、アンディ・ウォーホルのシルクスクリーンのようなポップアートを、木版画で表現してみたいと思いました。 舞台は新宿ゴールデン街です。 さまざまな情念を呑み込むように妖しく輝くネオンの中を、飄々と漂っていく「電気クラゲ」を主役に描きました。 --- # Shinjuku Glow ## Print Details 195 × 195 mm Water-based multicolor woodblock print / Hand-printed Artist: Shinji Tsuchimochi Printing & Blockmaking: Takashi Kashiwagi ## Artist’s Note When we began thinking about exploring a style different from the shin-hanga-inspired works we had been creating for the Reiwa Shin-Hanga project, I wanted to see what would happen if the visual language of pop art, such as Andy Warhol’s silkscreen works, were translated into a woodblock print. The setting is Shinjuku Golden Gai. Amid its strangely glowing neon lights, seemingly absorbing all kinds of human emotions and desires, an “electric jellyfish” drifts calmly through the streets as the central figure of the work.
