This achievement marked humanity’s long-awaited triumph over death — the realization of a limited form of immortality. The acquired time-series neural state space data was reduced to 920 petabytes through self-similar compression and stored within a photonic crystal memory medium—commonly known as a Crystal Disk. By importing this data into an electronically constructed virtual neural substrate, the reproduction of the human “mind” became possible. A portable personality preservation device integrating the crystal disk drive, the minimal computational environment required to operate the virtual brain, and a betavoltaic nuclear battery capable of near-perpetual operation was enclosed within a titanium cylinder.
