【PLEASE NOTE】 This is not a product page for purchasing the printed booklet itself. This is a support plan intended for those who wish to support our future creative, editorial, and publishing activities, including the continued production of the Modern Japanese Absinthe Guide. If you wish to purchase the printed booklet, please use the separate sales page. A Request for Support for the Continued Production of the Modern Japanese Absinthe Guide Thank you very much for reading the Modern Japanese Absinthe Guide. This book was created with the aim of documenting the absinthe being produced throughout Japan today, along with the people who make it, and preserving this record for the future. If we receive a strong response to this book and many requests from readers who would like to see a continuation, we hope to continue developing and publishing the series with Volume II, Volume III, and beyond, following Volume I. However, this book is not published by a publishing company. It is an independently produced publication, with the planning, research, editing, and production carried out on an individual basis. As the work is also being produced alongside the regular operation of our establishment, primarily outside business hours, we expect that each subsequent volume may take approximately six months to one year to complete. Continuing this project requires not only time, but also a certain amount of financial support. The Cost of Bringing Each Copy to You We want as many people as possible to be able to freely access this book and learn more about Japanese absinthe. For this reason, the PDF edition is available free of charge. For the printed edition, however, as of August 2026, the approximate cost of producing and shipping each copy is as follows: ・Full-color printing Approx. ¥2,000–¥2,300 per copy Costs vary depending on the number of copies ordered. ・Shipping Approx. ¥430 nationwide within Japan Based on the use of Japan Post Letter Pack Light. At this point alone, the cost comes to approximately ¥2,700 per copy. In addition, the overall production process involves expenses such as: Production software and related services: approximately ¥3,000–¥4,000 per month Sales and payment processing fees Other expenses related to production, packaging, and associated materials At ¥3,000 per copy, the printed edition is by no means an inexpensive book. However, considering the costs of printing, shipping, and production, the price has been set as close as possible to the actual production cost while still making the book accessible to as many people as possible. Preserving Japan’s Absinthe Culture for the Future This book has been created with the cooperation of the distilleries featured within it. We have carefully communicated with them, reviewed the content together, and made revisions and adjustments throughout the production process. Today, a remarkable variety of distinctive absinthes are being created throughout Japan. However, records of when, where, by whom, and with what intentions these absinthes were created may one day be lost unless they are consciously preserved. One of the main reasons for creating this book is to document the current state of Japanese absinthe and preserve it as a resource that people will still be able to look back on 10 or 20 years from now. Through Volume II, Volume III, and future volumes, we hope to continue building this record and help carry Japan’s absinthe culture into the future. If you share our vision for this project, we would be deeply grateful for any support you may be able to offer, within a comfortable and reasonable amount, toward the continuation of this work. All support received will be carefully used toward expenses related to the future production of the Modern Japanese Absinthe Guide, including production, printing, research, and the collection of reference materials. Your support will be a tremendous source of encouragement and will help make the next volume possible. Thank you for your continued support of the Modern Japanese Absinthe Guide. 【Supporter Gift】 As a small token of our appreciation, supporters will be able to download an original smartphone wallpaper (1080 × 1920 px / 9:16) in PNG format.
