There were merry-go-rounds, miniature airplane rides, and coin-operated cars and animals that slowly came to life when children climbed aboard. Colorful flags fluttered in the wind, and families visited these rooftop playgrounds on weekends. This A5 ring notebook is inspired by the nostalgic rooftop amusement parks of Showa-era Japan. The front cover depicts the amusement park many years after it has closed — faded rides, rain-soaked concrete, and an empty rooftop left in silence. The back cover shows the very same place in its brighter days, when the rides were new, colorful, and full of life. Two moments in the same place: The front cover — a forgotten present.
