The book is bilingual (Japanese and English). Synopsis Karen is assigned a mission to recover a pressure-resistant case containing classified information from a marine observation facility that has sunk to the seafloor. Prioritizing mobility inside the narrow, damaged structure, she deliberately chooses lightweight conventional diving gear instead of her specialized equipment. But as she approaches the facility, she encounters an unfamiliar female diver clad in a heavy-duty powered diving system. Her name is Aimi, an agent of VANTAGE, an international private intelligence and research organization whose operations often overlap with those of WWRC. Karen slips through confined spaces with speed and agility, while Aimi uses powerful assisted strength and integrated thrusters to force her way through obstacles. With completely opposite approaches, the two silently begin competing for the same target. Karen eventually secures the case through a split-second decision—but their contest is far from over. What begins as a single rivalry in the silent depths of the sea soon becomes the start of an entirely new relationship between them."
