The first design in the series is “Showa Shopping Street Sugoroku.” Sugoroku is a traditional Japanese board game in which players move through spaces toward a goal, somewhat similar to a roll-and-move board game. This notebook reimagines that familiar style as a lively journey through a nostalgic Japanese neighborhood. Starting from the train station, the illustrated streets are filled with places that evoke everyday life in old Japan — a dagashiya (traditional candy shop), sento (public bath), kissaten (retro coffee shop), bookstore, movie theater, toy shop, greengrocer, hardware store, flower shop, pharmacy, and more. The front cover features the colorful “Showa Shopping Street Sugoroku,” designed to resemble a vintage children's magazine supplement. The back cover features retro-style instructions, a colorful spinner, and nostalgic scenes from a Japanese neighborhood.
