The file is in English, amounts are in yen, and the notes on consumption tax refer to the rules in Japan. ■ What you can do 1. For up to 3 products, calculate current and post-increase monthly gross profit, the change, and the totals. 2. See the gross margin, the price after the increase, and gross profit per unit. 3. For each product, calculate how far units sold can drop before gross profit falls (the maximum drop you can absorb), and get a verdict: "Increase favorable" or "Increase unfavorable". 4. Enter an overall price increase and expected drop to apply them to all products, or set different rates for each product. 5. Rows with input problems show the reason in "Status" and are excluded from the totals. Rate cells stop out-of-range numbers when you type them. ■ Free version and paid version The paid version (20 products, net gross profit after fees, shipping and discounts, sensitivity table, decision memo, reverse calculation and price rounding) is currently available in Japanese only. ■ Please note - The calculation is based on gross profit. Fixed costs, labor, advertising, sales fees, shipping and discounts are not included. If you pay fees proportional to price, the effect of the increase may look larger than it really is. - The drop in units sold is an assumption. Actual reactions vary by product, season and competitors. - If you set the expected drop to 0%, units sold are assumed not to fall and almost every product becomes "Increase favorable". Try other rates as well. - This file does not guarantee results or profits and is not tax, accounting or legal advice. - Consumption tax: enter amounts excluding tax if you are a taxable business, or including tax as-is if you are a tax-exempt business.
