Check, in numbers and in sentences, whether raising your prices will increase your profit. Enter each product's price, cost and monthly units sold. The file calculates the change in monthly profit after the increase and creates a one-page A4 "Decision memo" that states the conclusion, reasons and next step in sentences. This is the English version of a Japanese template. The file is in English, amounts are in yen, and the notes on consumption tax refer to the rules in Japan. ■ What you can do 1. Up to 20 products: change in monthly profit after the increase, with a verdict per product ("Increase favorable" / "Increase unfavorable"). 2. How far units sold can drop before profit falls (maximum drop you can absorb), per product. 3. Judge by net gross profit after sales fees, fixed fees, shipping and discounts (what you keep), or by gross profit. 4. Overall rates for all products, or different rates per product. 5. Sensitivity table: change in monthly profit for 7 × 7 = 49 combinations of increase and drop (rates editable). 6. One-page A4 "Decision memo": verdict (Comfortable margin / Tight / Risk of profit falling), conclusion, reasons and next step in sentences, with a chart. Unfavorable products (first 3 names and the count) and a breakdown for products with and without an increase are shown. 7. When costs rise: the increase and lowest price needed to keep your current profit (with and without the expected drop), rounded up to 1, 10, 50 or 100 yen, plus a tax-inclusive guide. 8. Rows with input problems show the reason in "Status" and are excluded from all totals. ■ Try the free version first The free English version (3 products) is available on a separate page. Before buying, please check that the file opens in your environment with the free version. Parts only in the paid version, such as the chart and decision memo, cannot be checked with the free version. ■ Please note - Fixed costs, labor and advertising are not included. Fixed fees and shipping are assumed not to change with the increase. - The drop in units sold is an assumption; actual reactions vary. Use the sensitivity table to see a range. With an expected drop of 0%, almost every product becomes "Increase favorable". - The memo is a rough guide based on your figures and assumptions. It does not guarantee results or profits and is not tax, accounting or legal advice. - Consumption tax: enter amounts excluding tax if you are a taxable business, or including tax if you are tax-exempt. Registered qualified invoice issuers are taxable businesses. If unsure, ask your tax office or a licensed tax accountant. In Japan, taxable businesses that show prices to consumers in advance must show tax-inclusive prices (except when selling exclusively to businesses; tax-exempt businesses are not covered). All formulas were checked by recalculating in LibreOffice and comparing every cell with the Japanese version (including unusual inputs). Operation has not been checked in desktop Excel, Excel for the web, Google Sheets or Numbers; please check with the free version that the file opens in your environment before buying. - The sheets are protected (no password). Only the yellow input cells can be edited. - Product names and figures in the sample are fictional. - Downloading from BOOTH requires a pixiv account (free). - Returns and cancellations (English translation; the Japanese text on this shop's "特定商取引法に基づく表記" page prevails): Because this is a downloadable product, we do not accept returns, cancellations or refunds for the customer's own reasons. If you cannot use messages, contact us by email and we will tell you how to reach us (we never ask for bank details by email). We will check the problem and send a corrected file free of charge. If we cannot send a corrected file, or the problem remains after we do, we will refund the full amount you paid (including any payment fees you paid). Refunds are made first through BOOTH's refund procedure (we agree to the refund). If BOOTH's procedure cannot be used, we will refund you directly by bank transfer and pay the transfer fee. If a bank transfer is difficult, we will agree on a method that costs you nothing. Bank details are confirmed only through BOOTH messages for this order, used only for the refund, and not for any other purpose. We never ask for PINs, card numbers or passwords.
