Will a price increase raise your profit or lower it? This file answers in numbers and in a one-page memo. Enter each product's price, cost and monthly units sold, for up to 20 products. The file calculates the change in monthly profit after the increase and prints a one-page A4 "Decision memo" with the conclusion, the reasons and the next step in sentences. What you get for each product: a verdict ("Increase favorable" or "Increase unfavorable") and the maximum drop in units sold you can absorb before profit falls. You can judge by net gross profit after sales fees, fixed fees, shipping and discounts (what you keep), or by gross profit. One rate can apply to all products, or each product can have its own. A sensitivity table shows the change in monthly profit for 7 x 7 = 49 combinations of increase and drop; the rates are editable. The memo gives a verdict (Comfortable margin / Tight / Risk of profit falling) with a chart, the first 3 unfavorable products and the count, and a breakdown of products with and without an increase. When your costs rise, the file also finds the increase and the lowest price needed to keep your current profit, with and without the expected drop. Results are rounded up to 1, 10, 50 or 100 yen, with a tax-inclusive guide. A row with a problem input shows the reason in "Status" and is left out of every total. Limits: fixed costs, labor and advertising are not included. Fixed fees and shipping are assumed not to change with the increase. The drop in units sold is your assumption, so use the sensitivity table to see a range. At an expected drop of 0%, almost every product shows "Increase favorable". This is the English version of a Japanese template.
