Non-Destructive VRChat Avatar Optimizer | Unity Editor Tool ⚡ Analyze. Optimize. Compare. Keep Your Original Avatar Intact. Optimize your VRChat avatars without modifying your original avatar! Non-Destructive VRChat Avatar Optimizer is an easy-to-use Unity Editor tool that helps creators analyze avatar performance, identify optimization opportunities, and automatically generate optimized copies with just a few clicks. No complicated workflows, no manually resizing dozens of textures, and no need to risk your original avatar setup. Simply select your avatar, choose your optimization settings, and let the tool handle the rest! 🛡️ Non-Destructive Optimization Your original avatar stays untouched! Unlike workflows that require directly modifying your existing avatar, our optimizer creates a separate optimized copy while preserving your original avatar and source assets. ✅ Original avatar remains unchanged ✅ Generates a separate optimized avatar ✅ Creates new texture, material, and mesh assets when needed ✅ Choose exactly which optimizations to apply ✅ Compare the original and optimized versions ✅ Review changes before uploading Experiment with different optimization settings without committing changes to your original avatar! ⚡ Automatic Optimization Features Choose which optimizations you want to apply using simple checkboxes. Texture Optimization Automatically resize oversized textures Optimize texture compression settings Optional Crunch compression for smaller stored texture sizes Reduce estimated texture memory usage Material Optimization Detect and consolidate compatible duplicate materials Reduce unnecessary duplicate material assets Blendshape Optimization Analyze blendshapes for potential unused entries Protect known animation, viseme, and eyelid references Remove eligible unused blendshapes from generated mesh copies Blendshape cleanup uses conservative checks. Some custom or runtime-driven dependencies may require manual verification. 📊 Built-In Performance Analyzer Understand what's affecting your avatar's performance before making changes! Triangle counts Texture memory estimates Skinned mesh counts Material slots Bone counts PhysBone components Contact components Additional technical measurements Visual performance bars make it easy to identify areas that exceed your selected optimization target. 🎯 PC & Quest Performance Targets Choose your intended platform: PC / Windows Quest / Android Compare your avatar against VRChat's Excellent, Good, Medium, and Poor performance thresholds. The optimizer highlights potential performance issues and helps you determine which areas need attention. 🔍 Smart Recommendations & PhysBone Inspector Smart Recommendations Identify performance bottlenecks Highlight metrics exceeding selected targets Receive suggestions for further improvements PhysBone Inspector View PhysBone components and their associated transforms Inspect individual physics hierarchies Locate components directly in Unity PhysBone optimization is currently inspection-only. Automatic PhysBone merging is not included. 📈 Before & After Comparison See exactly what your optimizations accomplished! Compare the original and generated avatar using a visual results dashboard. Review changes in estimated texture memory, mesh statistics, material counts, and other performance measurements. 🛠️ Easy Installation & Setup Import the asset into your VRChat Unity project. Open Tools → VRChat → Avatar Optimizer. Select your avatar from the Hierarchy. Choose your target platform and performance rank. Analyze your avatar's performance. Select your preferred optimizations. Generate your optimized avatar copy! That's it! 📦 Requirements Unity 2022.3.22f1 (VRChat-supported version) VRChat Avatars SDK Existing VRChat avatar project ⚠️ Important Notes Optimization results depend on the avatar's original construction and assets. Automatic optimization cannot guarantee a particular VRChat performance rank. Texture optimization may reduce visual quality depending on selected settings. Custom animations, expressions, shaders, and avatar systems should be tested on the optimized copy before uploading. Advanced features such as polygon reduction, skinned mesh merging, material atlasing, and automatic PhysBone consolidation are not included in v1.0. This is an independent tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by VRChat or Unity. Created by VRCAkira | Version 1.0 Optimize without sacrificing your original. Analyze • Optimize • Compare
