Forced-haircut manga — she had the dead lord's face. Now she has his hair. Akari Takatoo, 21, is a history student researching the Kuzuha domain, a small feudal house whose records simply stop one autumn. Her waist-length straight black hair was brushed every night by her late grandmother. At the castle ruins she touches an old shrine, lightning strikes — and she wakes up four hundred years ago, inside Kuzuha Castle. "My lord...!?" The young lord died last night. In seven days the domain must sign a peace with its neighbor; if his death gets out, the house will be abolished. In the alcove hangs his portrait — with her face, down to the mole below her lip. "From this day, you shall be our lord." A wig would be exposed. Running gets her caught at the gate. The next morning, in the great hall, retainers hold her down under a white cloth. The lord's hairdresser cuts away her long hair, a razor shaves the sakayaki from her forehead to her crown, and what remains is slicked with pomade and tied into a lord's topknot. Before rows of bowing retainers, she is called "my lord" — and no one says her name. - Full color, 29 pages / 100 panels - Final style: a samurai chonmage — forehead and crown razor-shaved (sakayaki), the rest tied into a standing topknot - Art style: soft-colored seinen manga - All characters are adults (18+); Akari is a 21-year-old university student - Non-sexual: no nudity — the story is about the haircut itself - Fiction: the Kuzuha domain and all characters are invented - Illustrations were created with the help of AI image generation.
