English Description

WORKING FROGS — KAERU SENTO Somewhere in a quiet Showa-era neighborhood in Japan, there is a little old-fashioned bathhouse called Kaeru-yu. And yes—the entire staff is made up of frogs. On the front cover, they appear to be excellent employees. One frog scrubs the bath. Another carries hot water. Someone is folding towels. Everyone looks terribly serious. Well... almost everyone. Turn the notebook over, and the truth is revealed. The staff are in the bath. After spending all day taking care of the sento, the frogs have decided that the customers shouldn’t be the only ones enjoying the hot water. Work clothes off. Wooden buckets out. Feet up. Apparently, “quality inspection” requires a very long soak. The bathhouse is packed with nostalgic details inspired by old Japanese sento: a Mt. Fuji tile mural, blue tiles, wooden bath buckets, a faded noren curtain, and retro milk advertisements. The front cover also features a little “Kaeru-yu Work Log” label, inspired by old-fashioned Japanese workplace notebooks. Use it for work notes, daily thoughts, ideas, sketches, or absolutely nothing productive at all. The frogs certainly understand that last option. Work hard on the front. Take a bath on the back. Welcome to Kaeru-yu. Another questionable working day in the Working Frogs Work Log Series. This product is manufactured by pixivFACTORY. Product images are for illustrative purposes.
