Kamatte — "kamatte-chan" gimmick: left alone you turn yami-kawaii, a head-pat heals you (VRChat, Modular Avatar) Drop the prefab on your avatar (Modular Avatar, non-destructive). Left alone, you slowly fall into yami-kawaii: pien tears → broken hearts → black feathers. A head-pat heals you. Sparkling gem hearts, glass tears and rainbow jelly hearts drawn by custom shaders. Everyone sees the same stage (7 synced bits). PC Good on its own. For PC VRChat only (custom shader, not for Quest / Android). Stages (time left alone): fine → 1 min: pien tears → 2 min: sparkling gem broken hearts around your head → 3 min+: black feathers falling. Pace per stage: 10 s / 1 min / 3 min (menu). Healing: when another player's hand touches the contact above your head (or with the "heal myself" button), pastel jelly hearts pop and the timer starts again. Each look (tears / broken hearts / black feathers) can also be shown on its own from the menu. Shaders: the broken hearts are see-through gems that refract the background with soft pastel prism colours (pink, lavender, sky blue; colour gathers at the edges), glitter facet by facet as they sway and mirror the world (reflection probe; a soft studio light where the world has none). Tears and jelly hearts are see-through with a soap-bubble rainbow film; the feathers' sheen slides along the barbs. Uses one background grab (GrabPass) per frame. Setup: 1) Add Modular Avatar 1.18+ in VCC. 2) Put Kamatte.prefab under your avatar root (it follows the head). 3) Upload. Move the "Tears" object if the tears do not start under your avatar's eyes. Cost: 4 particle systems, 38 particles, 736 mesh-particle polygons (PC Good on its own). 7 synced bits. Tested with Unity 2022.3.22f1, VRChat SDK Avatars 3.10.5, Modular Avatar 1.18.7. Requires the VRChat SDK and Modular Avatar 1.18+ (not included). No lilToon needed. License: VN3 (see the included PDF). The avatar is not included (the pictures use "Shinano"). The effect art and menu icons were cut out and redrawn by program from pictures made with image-generation AI (ChatGPT). AI (Claude) was used to write the programs.
